In Kyrgyzstan, many people are still self-supporting. People grow their own fruit and vegetables and live here with their own livestock. On this tour you travel around Issyk Kul Lake and have different workshops on agriculture. This is an active trip where you can exchange your own experiences with the locals.

Day 1

Arrival Bishkek, transfer to the hotel. Here you can rest and have breakfast. Later you have a sightseeing tour in Bishkek. You will visit the Ala Too Square, the historic museum, Oak Park and the Osh bazar.

Day 2

♦ 300 km ♦ 4.5 h ♦ Guest house Tosor
You drive today to the village of Tosor. On the way you will visit Skazka, a small mountain area of red, white and yellow rocks. The erosion of the rock produces beautiful figures.

Day 3

♦ Guest house Tosor
You have a Kyrgyz cooking workshop today, you prepare a meal using the traditional way together with the local women.

Day 4

In the morning you have a small workshop on the preparation of tea from flowers. After lunch, you continue to Jengish, a small village along the south side of Issyk-Kul lake.

Day 5-6

Occulting fruit trees is a special technique, explained in a workshop.

Day 7

Today you have a cooking workshop, preparing a Kyrgyz dish and cook it on a Kazan.

Day 8

You are picking fruit today and from that fruit, make delicious jam. The afternoon is to relax, you can go swimming in the Issyk-Kul Lake or read a book.

Day 9

The trip continues to Karakol, on the way you will visit Jeti-Oguz, known for its red rock. Along the way are several beekeepers who prepare mountain honey from local flowers. They will show you how they do their work.

Day 10

You have today a sightseeing tour in Karakol, visiting the old Dungan Mosque, the Russian Orthodox Church and the bazar.

Day 11

♦ 380 km ♦ 8 h ♦ yurt Son-Kul
Today is a long drive to the Son-Kul lake, located at an altitude of 3016 Meters. The mountain lake is a plateau between 4000m high mountains, which are inhabited by the Nomads during the summer months. Here you stay in Yurts and you can see the real Nomads living in their true environment.

Day 12

♦ Yurt Son-Kul
You have a workshop on making Kymyz Milk (horse milk) and making Yoghurt Balls. You will also go horse riding along the lake with a picnic by one of the Yurts.

Day 13

♦ 400 km ♦ 8 h ♦ Hotel Bishkek
The trip goes back to Bishkek, here you have the opportunity to do some shopping.

Day 14

♦ 30 km ♦ 30 min
In the morning you will be taken to Manas Airport for your outbound flight.
